Something as simple as making a phone call in Cuba can be a challenge. I had a telephone at home when I was in my thirties (around 2001). Most of my life I’ve had to: find a public phone, find one that WORKS, and make a line. Around my house there were like 3 public phones. Usually only one worked. I use to make phone calls at 9pm to beat the long waiting, as at that hour most people were watching the soup opera.
